Generative Design Canvas

Creates and edits context-aware designs, showing why decisions were made.

Conversational Assistant

Answers questions using connected design and business context.

Content Authoring Suite

Enables anyone to author and publish design-system context that informs the generative canvas and assistant.

There’s a business decision behind every design.

Aegis pulls in different types of business data, rules, and constraints to inform the designs you generate.

Governance & Protection

These platforms help businesses manage policies, risks, privacy, consent, and access rules.

Common Platforms

  • Salesforce Privacy Center
  • NAVEX One Policy & Procedure Management

Aegis could design a returns experience for store associates that applies the current 30-day return window, store-credit rule, and refrigerated-item exception directly within the flow.

Product, Content, & Asset Repositories

These platforms manage approved product information, written and learning content, visual assets, design-system parts, and product specifications that Aegis can place into an experience.

Common Platforms

  • Salesforce Product Catalog Management
  • Akeneo

Aegis could design a product page populated with the approved product name, price, sizes, and other catalog details instead of placeholder content.

Customer, Account, & Permissions

These platforms organize information and groups for customers, students, members, and patients. They also manage accounts, access, loyalty, membership, enrollment, benefits, and other industry account states.

Common Platforms

  • Salesforce Identity
  • Okta Customer Identity

Aegis could design an account experience that changes by customer type: guests could look up a booking, signed-in members could see trips and saved details, and sensitive payment changes would require an additional identity check.

Commerce & Decisioning

These platforms run transactions, applications, bookings, purchases, and policy changes. They hold rules that shape what a person or business can choose, what it costs, and what happens next.

Common Platforms

  • Agentforce Commerce
  • Shopify

Aegis could design a four-step furniture checkout with scheduled freight for oversized items, standard or express shipping for smaller items, and no gift-message field.

Operations & Availability

These platforms hold core operating records and run the rules that shape inventory, orders, services, work, and fulfillment.

Common Platforms

  • Salesforce Order Management
  • Manhattan Active Order Management

Aegis could design fulfillment experiences with scheduled freight for oversized products, store pickup when shipping is unavailable, and split shipments when an order can come from multiple locations.

Strategy & Investment

These platforms capture what a business wants to achieve, what it has decided to build, and the money set aside to do it.

Common Platforms

  • Betterworks
  • Productboard

Aegis could design a checkout concept around a documented goal to reduce abandonment, with fewer form fields and wallet payments reflecting the team’s priorities.

Performance & Learning

These platforms capture what people do, what they say, what teams learn through research and experimentation, and what the organization documents from those findings.

Common Platforms

  • Salesforce Feedback Management
  • Amplitude

Aegis could design mobile checkout variants focused on the transition from shipping to payment, where analytics show shoppers abandon the experience at a higher rate.

Imagine it.A faster, stronger way of working.

  1. Leaders piece together goals, scope, customer evidence, and constraints across tools and teams.
  2. BEFORE: Teams reconstruct what the business already knows through interviews, workshops, and document searches.AFTER: Teams frame the problem. Aegis surfaces relevant policies, findings, product facts, and constraints in the UI.
  3. BEFORE: Builders manually translate scattered guidance and requirements into concepts.AFTER: Builders choose the experience direction. Aegis generates concepts using approved guidance and business context.
  4. BEFORE: Teams test ideas before business experts confirm what is feasible.AFTER: Aegis receives a refreshed stream of analytics, testing data, and user research.
  5. BEFORE: Builders chase answers and retrofit late constraints into work already underway.AFTER: Aegis keeps refinements within applicable rules.
  6. BEFORE: Experts catch issues through meetings, comments, tickets, and late reviews.AFTER: Aegis shows the rules it used, separating documented truth from word of mouth.Humans must still review.
  7. Owners interpret results, then re-explain changes and update downstream work by hand. Aegis carries refreshed context forward.

No matter your organization’s design or business rules, Aegis pulls in the context.

AEGIS

The more we shared Aegis, the more it outgrew the placeholder language we had been using to talk about it. So we decided on something simple: Agentic Governance System. It wasn't a great name but it acronymized to AGS, which was easy enough to share around. However, one of our colleagues, being a Greek mythology aficionado, realized its letters were hiding inside the word “aegis”.

Aegis, the shield of Athena, represents protection, authority, and guidance—and that felt pretty serendipitous, because our system was built to protect the rules of a design system while giving people a guiding light during exploration.

Just as importantly, we wanted to show how AI could accelerate delivery and still protect the humanity of our discipline. We desired an agentic experience that augments the talents of builders—to make us more creative so we can lend more of our time to strategy, research, and the minutiae of design that makes digital experiences flair.

Designers still get room to explore. Engineers still get clearer logic. And businesses get the opportunity to see what it looks like to speed up delivery without sacrificing brand integrity, governance, and the people doing the work.
